Carlos Returns For 'The Hangover Part III'

This ganecock isn't the first animal we've seen on a poster this week. The Hangover Part III has been releasing posters for the supporting cast all this week, and the first one we saw was the doomed giraffe that we see Alan (Zach Galifianakis) riding with on the highway. As for how this chicken fits into the story, Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong) has taken up cock fighting, and presumably this is one of his birds.

But that's not all we have for you today! We've been thinking that this poster-a-day release has been going somewhere, and it appears that it has led to the first clip from the film. The scene is one that is partially featured in the most recent trailer, but has some great added elements, such the name of John Goodman's mysterious antagonist character and Alan's ring pop. Watch the clip below, courtesy of the movie's official Facebook page.

The movie, written by director Todd Phillips and co-writer Craig Mazin, is set two years after the events of The Hangover Part II and finds Alan in bad shape after the death of his father (Jeffrey Tambor). Realizing that their friend needs help, Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Doug (Justin Bartha) team up to try and get Alan into a rehabilitation center. This plan goes astray when a man named Marshall (Goodman) kidnaps Doug and sends the Wolf Pack on a quest to find the missing Leslie Chow.

The Hangover Part III will be in theaters on May 24th.

‘The Hangover Part 3′ Trailer: The Wolfpack Heads to Vegas One Last Time

Warner Bros. has finally released a poster and trailer for The Hangover Part III, some two and a half months before the raunchy comedy threequel opens. While it’s true that the studio waited nearly as long before unveiling the teaser for Part II, this supposedly final installment is a somewhat riskier bet; that is, the decision to change-up the formula for The Wolfpack’s hijinks is a doubled-edged sword.

It’s meant to win back the crowd that complains about Part II rehashing the first movie - but will mixing things up inadvertently alienate those who preferred the original approach (and drove the previous movies to a cumulative $1 billion gross around the world)?

The Hangover Part III keeps things consistent in terms of the casting, with Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong all reprising their previous roles. In addition, Hangover 1 players Heather Graham and Mike Tyson are back (Graham was excluded from the sequel), and the pair are joined by John Goodman as the antagonist. Todd Phillips is once again directing and co-wrote the screenplay with Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part II, Identity Thief), for better or worse.

In case you missed it earlier, here is the official Hangover Part III teaser poster:

Judging by the trailer, WB’s intent is to generate interest by playing things close to the vest and keeping everyone in the dark about what, exactly, the Wolfpack gets up to in Las Vegas this time. That means nothing but glimpses of darkly comical antics involving giraffes, funerals and pig-masked baddies (which were previously revealed in set photos), along with a hodgepodge of gags having to do with Alan – including, a cameo by Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, Identity Thief) that does not seem all that special out of context.

Basically, the message is: if you want to know what goes down, you have to just see the movie. It’s an effective strategy and a refreshing one, seeing how much is given away in trailers nowadays. Of course, that begs the question: are you going to take the bait? Or was two crazy adventures with The Wolfpack enough?

The Hangover Part III opens in U.S. theaters on May 24th, 2013.

The Hangover Part III – can’t wait to get drunk again !

Remember The Hangover Part II , a sequel to the famous franchisee that has always managed to tickle your funny bone? Well, the second part wasn’t that well received at the box office , but , hold your breath….the third installment, aka The Hangover Part III is just around the corner and is definitely going to be a full on entertainer!

According to Rolling Stones, this movie is going to offer something new this time.  The ‘Wolf pack’ this time around is a little off  the track and promises you a whirlwind adventure.  In an interview with the director Tod Phillips, it was evident that part 3 was not made in the same genre as the previous sequels but is a whole lot better this time. Yes, you will still get to watch the three men indulging in a crazy night of over indulgence and alcohol, so chill and enjoy it to the fullest!

The plot is different this time and shows the character of Zach Galifiankis undergoing treatment in a mental asylum, only to escape from it, taking the assistance of the other members of the team. Even the scenes here are different and show something more than just expected out of all Hangover movies.  We see all the old characters returning with a big bang and these include Phil, Stu and Doug who have done a commendable job so far. The film is a laugh riot alright but also gives tremendous scope to all the actors to show their acting prowess. Bradley Cooper, ED Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha have gone past their humorous days of acting and have really stretched their comedy skills.

As for the scenes, the asylum escape is the best of the lot and sets the mood rolling for the whole movie.  However, be prepared to get stoned with some over the top scenes that would make you swing with joy and frolic. The movie is all set to release this summer and would surely be loved by those that love insane humour and dark comedy. It is touted to be better than all the previous installments. While, most promos have advertised the movie to be different, however, be prepared to see the same thing once again since you can never know what comes next. It can either be very good or can be downright boring and vulgar.

Whatever said and done, The Hangover Part III is going to be a laugh riot and it would leave you breathless no doubt.

'Hangover Part 3' Takes The Adventure Pass The Border To Tijuana, Mexico (VIDEO)

The Wolfpack is back Mexican style!

This week, an extended version of the theatrical trailer for “The Hangover Part 3” appeared online and gave us a frenzied glimpse at the final film in the series that gave ‘drinks with the boys’ a whole new meaning. But this time the surely life-threatening adventure crosses the line -- the borderline to Mexico that is.

That’s right, first Vegas, then Thailand, and now the Pack is heading to Tijuana. In the third installment, Mr. Chow’s (Ken Jeong) returns to once again complicate the gang’s plans with his criminal antics, leading to Doug (Justin Bartha) being kidnapped by a crime boss (John Goodman) and the boys needing to head down to the Latin American country to rescue their friend. (See Full Trailer Above)

Last year, however, photos revealed that instead of actually crossing the border, Warner Bros. was recreating downtown Tijuana in Nogales, Arizona. The move left many in the Mexican bordertown feeling a bit snubbed.

It’s hard to say from the trailer how much of the mayhem will occur in “Mexico” or how authentic the location will look on the big screen, but the plot already promises plenty of cockfighting (not necessarily between the animals) and some ‘sugar’ for Chow from Alan (Zach Galifianakis).

And for those nostalgic for the first film, the series comes full circle in the third movie with what seems like plenty of action back in Las Vegas. "The Hangover Part 3" is set to premiere on May 24.

Check out the trailer above and let us know what you’re hoping the boys will do in Mexico in the comments below.

‘The Hangover Part III’ Begins Production; Plot Synopsis Revealed

After first being introduced to the Wolf Pack in Todd Phillips’ The Hangover back in 2009, audiences quickly fell in love with the goofy bunch of troublemakers and wanted more. Phillips and company obliged in 2011 with The Hangover Part II, which went on to become an even bigger hit, despite mostly negative reviews.

Now, after being hungover twice before, the boys are back in The Hangover Part III and it looks like they still haven’t learned their lesson.

Warner Bros. announced that principal photography has begun on the set of Todd Phillips’ The Hangover Part III, which is reported to be the final installment in the R-rated comedy franchise.

They also released the official plot synopsis for Part III (via Coming Soon). Check it out below:

This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.

The brief synopsis suggests that the guys may be on some kind of road trip, which isn’t that surprising considering Phillips wrote and directed the hit film Road Trip (2000). It also seems to be a bit of a change-up from the first two films, both of which were written around a single locale (Las Vegas in The Hangover, Thailand in The Hangover Part II).

As previously reported last year, the plot may also involve the boys breaking Galifiankis’ character, Alan, out of a mental institution.

Plot differences aside, the fact that round three will feature an almost identical cast and production crew as its predecessors shows that Phillips and Warner Bros. didn’t want to mess too much with what worked previously. And why would they? While Hangover Part II was not a critical success, that didn’t stop it from grossing nearly $600 million worldwide, bringing the grand total for the franchise to over $1 billion.

What worked with the first two and what audiences initially fell in love with was the series’ affable cast. Fortunately for fans, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha will reprise their roles as Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug, respectively, while Ken Jeong, Heather Graham and Jeffrey Tambor will return to round out the familiar supporting cast. One notable addition is John Goodman as the Wolf Pack’s antagonist.

Still, it’s worth noting that the complaints moviegoers had for Part II – namely, that it was far too similar to the original - seem to have been taken into account for the development of the threequel. There’s no more wedding, no more bachelor party, and no more single location. Whether or not that’s good news probably depends on how much you appreciated Part II.

Are you looking forward to the final installment of The Hangover series, Screen Rant readers? Let us know in the comments.

The Hangover Part III is slated for a May 24th, 2013 release.
